BILLY'S HOUSE
Billy's House, the Phoenix Center's transitional housing program, is for men and women who are HIV+ and homeless or near homeless. The purpose of this program is  to help the residents to maintain their health, well-being and independence to the greatest extent possible by providing stable housing and  access comprehensive healthcare. Even though stable housing has been shown to be a critical link to medical and supportive services, access to housing is difficult.
Compounding the problem of waiting lists is access to housing for the increasing number of persons living  with HIV/AIDS and  also for those individuals with histories of homelessness, mental illness, and substance abuse.

For over six  years, the Phoenix Center has been developing innovative new programs with the goal of reducing the transmission of HIV  and increasing th quality of life for individuals living with HIV/AIDS. The support for individuals accessing services at Billy's House includes prevention case management, on-site supportive housing, a social support environment, counseling, hot meals,  substance use and relapse prevention, as well as, education and career goal planning.

To apply for housing, an individual can either contact us to arrange for an intake screening or have a case manager, social worker or other assisting professional contact us on their behalf. There will be a review of the information provided to determine if Billy's House is the right fit for the person applying.
